Shabnam is an Islamic psychologist, writer, and academic lecturer. She holds a degree in Educational Psychology from Kabul University and is currently completing her Master’s degree in Psychology and Islamic Counselling at the International Open University. Her research focuses on integrating classical Islamic psychological traditions with contemporary Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) frameworks.
Alongside her academic pursuits, Shabnam teaches higher education courses in Islamic Psychology and remains a committed social activist. Her professional background in Afghanistan includes media production for Amozgar Radio and development work as a UN Volunteer with the UNDP on gender equality initiatives. Additionally, she has served as a board member of the PAC since 2018.
