Ahmad Baktash Nuri is a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, serving in the G8 – Finance Branch at 39 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia. In his role in Financial management, he supports and oversees budget planning, resource allocation, financial oversight, and financial services administration for the Brigade Headquarters.

He also is a student at the Royal Military College of Canada and Simon Fraser University, pursuing a degree in Political Science and Economics. His academic interests focus on NATO, public policy, economic development, governance, defence, and international affairs.

Baktash has also been active in community engagement and sporting initiatives within the Afghan community. For five years, he volunteered with the BC Afghan Sports Association in Vancouver, helping organize sporting events and programs that promoted community participation, athletic development, and competition. He became a PAC Board Member in 2022.
